Tipton Jones-Boiter

This is one of two paintings painted specifically for this exhibit. The other is Floral Pastoral in Bb. I didn't have much of a plan other that I wanted to represent different times of day. This was the evening counterpart of Floral Pastoral. I was also thinking in terms of the painting being playable.

While the Chromasona Codex gives me direction with chords, the linear and nonlinear applications of the colors give me direction on execution of the chords. Whether I hold a chord longer, play more staccato, play in lower register or higher register, etc.
